Hockey Biography:
My goal in hockey is to be accepted to a Division 1 University so I can play at a high level and get a great education. My current goals for this season is to be the most hard working athlete I can be, the best person I can be on and off the ice, and to focus on my academics as good grades are very important to me. I feel I have good time management skills as I always make sure I create time to train off the ice and maintain my grades above 85%.

Every time I step on the ice for practice and games, I make sure I'm always paying attention, taking every opportunity to ask questions and better myself and giving my best effort at 110%. When I’m doing off-ice training, I always make sure to push myself, so I can become a better athlete and accomplish the goals I have set for myself. My best skills in hockey are my faceoffs, play making ability, passing, defensive and offensive aggression, which help win us more puck battles, get more puck possession and set up more goal scoring opportunities.

I have been chosen for Captain by my peers this year. I feel I was honored with this role because I am always welcoming and  encouraging to others, staying positive the best I can, and being a good role model on and off the ice. I try to be the best person I can be.

I have been running cross country since grade 4, and I feel I have accomplished so much throughout the year. Grade 8 year, I qualified for counties and placed 4th out of more than 100 girls. In my first year of High School, Grade 9 (this year), I placed top 10 every race and qualified for OFSAA. I plan to keep training to become an even better runner throughout the years.

Since the first time I have stepped on the ice, I have loved every part about hockey. The friendships I have created, the teamwork, the feeling of stepping on that ice for a game, and the feeling of knowing I worked as hard as I could out on the ice. All of this has made my passion for hockey even stronger, and I will continue carrying the passion throughout my life.
